INFORMATION ON THE USE OF COOKIES

What is a cookie and why do we use them?

A cookie is a data file stored in your browser. The cookie identifies your computer when you enter our website.

Why do we use cookies?

We mainly use cookies to register the traffic on our website. The purpose of doing this is to improve our website and our service. The tool we use for this purpose is Google Analytics. A cookie from Google Analytics identifies your computer, not the individual. Click here to learn ”How Google Analytics uses Cookies”.

By using cookies from Google Analytics, we can monitor, inter alia:

Whether you have visited our website previously
    What country you come from
What website you have visited previously
Which search engine you have used to be directed to our website
When and for how long you have visited our website.

On a few of our websites, we also use a cookie from Google Analytics which gives us the opportunity to target the readers of our advertisements on websites not administered by us (so-called “remarketing”). The purpose of doing this is to be able to present you with relevant advertisements.

Once a year, for a period of one to two months, a cookie is used in connection with optional user surveys. The survey uses a cookie to make sure you don’t receive the survey if you have already responded to it, or if you have declined to take part in it.

Websites with restricted access

If you have logged on to one of our websites with restricted access using a user name and password, we will use cookies for as long as you are logged in. Amongst other things, these cookies log the content of the basket, user name and password, so that we can identify you when you click on the various online elements which require log in. This ensures that you do not have to log in every time you wish to make use of a new element. When you log off, the cookie is replaced, and you will have to log in the next time you wish to visit the website.

We also use a cookie that defines the language you use, if the site has multiple language choices.

How long are cookies stored and how can I remove them?

Some cookies expire when you close your browser. Others are kept for a maximum of 24 months. You can change your browser settings if you do not wish to accept our use of cookies. You can also delete stored cookies. For further information on how to do that, go to your browser settings, choose the help function and search for “cookies”.
